It’s been a crazy couple of weeks here. We took the keys to this amazing pub on Monday 6th July. Deciding that a bright yellow was not our color we shut the pub from Monday to Friday afternoon. In that time we installed a new kitchen for Jason, our head chef and one of the owners, painted the main walls in the pub, bought new furniture for the decking and cleaned everywhere we could.

So who are we?

Well, we’re 4 chaps called Anthony, Jason, Colin and Tim. We have been working together for a number of years most notably transforming the fortunes of our main site The Wiremill. [www.thewiremill.co.uk]  Like the Grove Ferry the mill had been neglected over the years and it’s taken a while to make it a fantastic venue for people to relax and enjoy themselves. Now recognized as one of the top venues in the country we are proud to tell everyone about it!

The same will happen for the Grove Ferry. It’s not a transformation that can happen overnight, it takes time to make changes, but the initial feedback from our customers is good, very good and we will march on.

What can you expect from a visit?

A focus on food. We love freshly prepared, home cooked food. We are not cheap, please don’t compare us to the big chains, we buy our food from local suppliers, farms and producers. For this we don’t screw them on every penny, we get a fair price and get great produce for it. We’re also not the most expensive you will find for what is produced. Jason. George, Katy and Jodie produce every meal in the kitchen, it’s a la carte, but we don’t like to call it that, we call it good food.

Expect friendly service from us and our staff, drinks and ales from around the globe, but also in partnership with Shepherd Neame great local ales from the brewery in Faversham. In the coming months we will be producing a range of our own ales working with the head brewer so if your a real ale lover, watch this spot!
